Disclaimer

Sometimes people get upset because of what they are reading, therefore this disclaimer, so that it is clear to whom I am writing unto and for.

I believe and hold to The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith, and things that I state here may also be stated in that Confession.

  • I am writing to the church, not the world. “For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person” (1 Cor. 5:12-13).
  • I believe in separation which should be clear from the text above.
  • I believe in the only living true God, infinite and all-knowing Spirit, perfect in all his attributes, one in essence, and eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit; I believe in the Triune God.
  • I believe that the Bible is God’s Word, every Word of it, that it is God-breathed.
  • Genesis 1-11 is foundational to me in a literal way.
  • I believe that man is created in God’s image and that mankind through the fall is sinful, I hold to the doctrine of original sin.
  • I believe in TULIP: Total Depravity, Unconditional Election, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, and Perseverance of the Saints.
  • I believe in the preserved text, that the Hebrew Masoretic Text and the Greek Received Text (Textus Receptus) is providentially preserved by an almighty and sovereign God.
  • I believe that the King James Version (KJV) is the best translations that we have of the Masoretic Text and of the Textus Receptus in English. But I am no King James Onlyist.
  • My everyday Bible is my Allan KJV or my Allan NASB 1995, or my Swedish Church Bible from 1917.
  • Everybody does not think that a formal equivalent translation is the best to read. I do believe that, since I hold to that every word in the Bible is inspired, every tittle and jot. I therefore have a hard time with these idiomatic translations. The Bible is mostly clear and is usually easy to understand, and if you follow the advice to let Scripture explain Scripture you should have no problems with understanding God’s perfect Word.
  • I am a Cessationist. Scripture is God’s perfect way to give his Word to us. I am not denying the Spirit; He regenerated me, He leads me every day, and He dwells within me, He is enlightening the Scripture to me, without the Holy Spirit I would be lost and dead in sins, and God still does wonders in His time and when He wants.
  • All Bible quotations will be from the KJV if not stated otherwise.
